above mentioned policy, the following shall be adhered to by all
its employees with support as requested being given by the Company
to achieve the desired results:
- To ensure a safe working environment by taking in
the required safe guards against all identifiable
risks.
- To work towards maintaining a "Zero Spill to Sea"
by the coordination of efforts of those ashore and on board the
vessels.
- To work towards the long term goal of "Zero
Accidents and Incidents" by the use of KPIs to monitor
performance.
- To comply with the applicable industry legislation
which refers to the Environment protection.
- To ensure competence of the personnel in the
application of the required procedures and instructions as laid
which deal with the protection of the
environment.
- To undertake the necessary training as required to
maintain the required competence and keep updated with changes in
requirements of the Regulations - National/International and
Industry as specified.
- To monitor on a regular basis the effectiveness of
performance with respect to environmental procedures through
reviews, audits and their follow-up.
- To use the contingency plans to react towards
emergency situations in a uniform and planned
manner.
- To identify those with responsibility for managing
procedures and make them responsible for the environmental
consequences of those activities.
- To become an example of environmental best
practice.
- To maintain, review and where possible improve
environmental performance year by year.
- To promote an "Open Reporting" culture within the
organisation.
The Company will focus on its activities with a worldwide
perspective and ensure continual improvement through open dialogues
with its clients/customers whose feedback shall be used to revise
existing procedures pertaining to environmental issues to
continuously improve its environmental footprint.
